Samurai Picture The legendary ninja and samurai of Japan are the ancestors of Budo Taijutsu, a traditional Japanese kobudo martial art with a history that spans well over a thousand years.  Nine martial traditions continue into the 21st century in an unbroken lineage to Grandmaster Masaaki Hatsumi.

These nine schools were incorporated into the International Bujinkan Dojo by Dr. Hatsumi, who actively teaches at the Budokan in Tokyo and at the Bujinkan Honbu Dojo in Noda City, Japan.  Hatsumi sensei is recognized as one of the premiere martial artists of today and is widely acclaimed throughout the world.

The Columbia City Bujinkan Dojo's main focus is to accurately convey the teachings of Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi, the 34th grandmaster of Togakure Ryu ninjutsu.  Our purpose as a dojo is to study Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu.  We are not a commercial dojo.  We have no contracts to sign.  We are not a sport.  We do not spar or train for point fighting; we train for real-life situations.  Hatsumi sensei and the International Bujinkan Dojo license the instructors.

Training at the Columbia City Bujinkan Dojo is by invitation only.  If you would like to be considered, please click here for contact information and training times.
